Hi,
Just purchased a very healthy looking plate coral from Sam's Aquarium(thanks!). It looked beautiful in the shop, and when I put it in my tank after acclimatizing, it was obviously retracted, and so I noticed what I believe to be one of those snails that live in tubes on it(not sure what they are called now).
It appears to have been there for a long time, as the plate coral's flesh almost completely grew over it(except for where the snail's mouth is).
I could also see the "snail" scooping up food from the water column with a "fan" as seen in a pic below.
Should I try and carefully kill the snail with a needle or remove it in some way? Or leave it alone?
Thanks in advance
