Plastic Gate Valve

Hi Everyone.

A search gave me nothing so sorry if I missed it. Where can I get plastic gate valves in Centurion? My overflow ball valve is driving me nuts!! Please help!

You want to replace the ball valve? Did you look at Builders?

Yes I do, No I havent, didnt even give them a thought, think they will have? I dont want ANY metal parts in the valve so still not sure if I should try them, their level of product knowledge scare me sometimes.

I bought from builders and they are plastic no metal go to the garden and irrigation section if you want bigger 50mm its at pool section.

I have found plastic ball valves a builders at their garden irrigation area. Also BuCo sells them. I think most hardware stores should sell them these days as they have replaced most steel valves anyway.

@Newbiejb, isnt that still a ball valve? How fine are the adjustments on that? On mine(looks different) one small turn closed and the tank starts flooding, one small turn open and Ive got a gurgler.

The only place I could find proper gate valves (as opposed to ball valves) was at ECA Marine - I've bought from them a couple of times. I'm mentioning their name as I'm not aware of any sponsors who stock these - if there are, my apologies.

They got everything irrigation wise. Just make sure its a plastic gate valve and not brass.
