planning my dsb.

    i'm planning a dsb in my tank 100cm x 60cm with 12/15cm of sand , can i include a net to stop fish or cleaning crew to go deep in it , and if yes how many cm from the surface.and which size of the holes .

    Unless you have burrowing fish I wouldn't worry about that. It's actually fine if the top layer is kept clean by fish or crabs.

    As Tony said, make sure no fish can topple any of the life rock by digging tunnels underneath it.

    You want an in tank DSB?
    What substrate do you have?

    Just remember the total surface area of the in take DSB is a lot smaller that you think. Must deduct the space used by the live rock.

    i'm going to make a stand with feet on diy LR for the LR.that's'll take less space in the DSB.
