    I bought this macro algae for my refugium, but I don't know what it is. Can someone help me identify it please?

    Looks like Maiden's Hair Algae (Chlorodesmis)

    I thought maidens hair had finer leaves than the one in the pic for id.

    Looks more like one of the non-curly species of Chaetomorpha to me. C. aerea perhaps.

    Hmmm, could be.
    I have seen some in a LPS in brits a while ago, but the fish that was in the same tank quickly consumed it.
    Will have a look in my books.

    The Guy in the shop mentioned something about it being a needle ???, but I can't find anything online.
