    Rather go for 2*25.
    Flow should be about the same or slightly more that 1*32 but if one got blocked, the other would still go.

    In my mind 2 holes/pipes are always better than one, too many snails and hermit crabs get stuck in overflow pipes and cause blockages resulting in floods and tears.

    If i'm not mistaken 1 x 32mm will get you much better flow due to the cross sectional area being much greater.... Or am I in need of some sleep?:)

    2x 32mm pipes will make the overflow box way to big and dont want to waste too much space in my tank, im diy ing the same as a reef octo syphon overflow the unit is already 22cm wide 16cm high and 19 cm b

    Ok, let me check.....

    25mm pipe (1.9mm wall thickness) = 2.12cm ID = 1.06cm Radius

    32mm pipe (2.4mm wall thickness) = 2.72cm ID = 1.36cm Radius

    Right?

    Area of a circle is = to [IMG]

    2.5cm = (22/7)*1.06*1.06 = 3.531cm2 ID

    3.2cm = (22/7)*1.36*1.36 = 5.813cm2 ID

    So 2x 25mm would infact be better than 1x 32mm by 1.214 times....:whistling:

    What a couple of cups of coffee can do for you :lol:

    Espresso should be served in a small cup, not in a jug.

    Would a double overflow pipe in the overflow box like this not be a safer option? (Sorry for the bad MS Paint attempt at a demonstration. ) :p
