Pink Tube Anemone

    I have a pink tube anemone without a hard tube
    can it be fragged or not if so how do i go about it

    Please post pictures first so that we can see what it looks like. I doubt that a tube nennie will survive without his tube. Maybe it's another type nennie?

    Does it have a tube at all? The tubes are made up of old tentacles so the tube isn't really that hard.
    They cannot be fragged.

    it will form its own 'tube' over a while. just stick it tube/backside under the substrate, should be fine.
    very easy to look after.
    mine had its tube ripped up by a butterfly, started from scratch and its fine

    They also don't require light like other nennies, but they need to be fed with small meaty bits like mysid shrimp, fish, etc

    they do not split at all like real anemones.

    Really fine pieces. Rather use a lot of real fine pieces.

    There is not a lot of info on the web on them. But yes they can and do have chemical warfare with other tube anemones if too close.

    tube nennies realy are great to have in a tank, ive always realy enjoyed those ive kept.
