    Hi Goodisor. Some type of macro algae....

    Google "red macro algae".....

    Next to the text is coralline algae.

    Under the text is probably the prettiest macroalgae there is. Nemastoma sp.

    Give it a little more light. It doesn't need much but having it in the shade isn't good either.

    It is not Sea Grapes (Botryocladia)

    Doesn't red algae require some "other" additives/lighting requirements, than green plants/algae?

    Something like MORE blue light and more iron? Or is that more iodine?

    Many Rhodophytes require more lighting. However, this one tends to grow quite well under moderate litghting.

    With that said, to get the fluorescence, actinic lighting is necessary.

    If you look at the first pic on this thread you can see how much this stuff has grown and man it really looks great in the tank.Funny thing is though,it only grows on this one lkittle rock and nowhere else:(

    Once again I apologize for my fantastic picture quality.This stuff is really growing quite well and it has started to grow on a few other rocks too.It is quite pretty I must say Im glad to have it.Now that it is much bigger can anyone positively ID it.
