    Hey guys

I got a Pin cushion from LFS yest......
I waited a while and placed it on top of some rock , it just sat there and swelled up and after abt an hour it flowered and opened up and some pins appeared .....but
2 things that are bugging me......It tends to flop around alot and have had to reposition the thing a few time last night (I WAS TOLD TO KEEP SOME WATER FLOW AROUND IT) so WHAT do i do to keep it secure until it bonds to the LR ? and the one i got has two stems on it and two beautiful cushions that open up.....what do i do if i only want one ? can i do something to seperate it and re position other half in a different part of tank ...?

will take some pics if i get a chance later

Just a heads-up - only the "Gel" type superglue works - not the standard "watery" type superglue...

    How much should you use?

How many can you do in one shot? (Is there a waiting time between them)

AND WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU STICK YOUR FINGER TO A LR?:p

Use a piece of Elastic to "tie" it to the rock, if I cannot find any in the house, I use "Ghost Cotton"

superglue will work,or a rubberband or even a toothpick.
pincushions usually like moderate to gentle flow and medium lighting

I am surprised that the LFS sold you an unattached pin cushion. Super glue gel alone will not hold it in place. Put down some gel and then use an elastic to hold it in place, not to tight as it will cut in and through the tissue.

Shew....too much info guys.....drank the vodka and Rum....then upon further advice from LFS pinned the Pin cushion betw two rocks......played with it in the wrong places for too long and had a mucousy discharge spread through the water really bad ....ran into LFS...ended up leaving with a canister filter to sort out water and had the LFS re-scape tank, clean and install canister for free(LSF insisted they sort out tank cos they sold me the pin cushion, which was really nice)

It was a very scary night ....fish looked like they were swimming in watered down milk....remember my JUWEL tank only has an inbox filter.......

Long story short....I have had to install filter abt a month premature to regulate my water problem....which in one night it has ....also a phos remover isnt a bad thing.....the Pin cushion (bladdy thing) is happy as can be and I think i will wait for it to attach naturally to LR as well as split when its ready......all the Pins are extended and has found a nice place in tank near exit pump which its enjoying some medium flow......

thanks again for all advice guys ( Superglue !! who would have thought)
