Photo time..snorkeling in Kenya

    Last month I attended the WIOMSA conference (Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association) in Mombasa, Kenya to present some of my research. We managed to get time to go for a snorkel in the nearby marine park/reserve and wow it was incredible.

    Hi Sean, I'm busy doing my Masters in Marine Biology. It has nothing to do with corals :( but I'm part of a ecosystem study off the KwaZulu Natal coast.

    This park doesn't look too deep like uShaka's Snorkel Lagoon ..... Awesome pics though ... thanx for sharing

    Are those not melon butterflies? @Singularity? Wasn't this one of the fish that didn't make it to Newcastle ... My bad luck .... Absolutely gorgeous fly

    Chaetodon trifasciatus.
    Generally not suitable for reef tanks, feeds almost exclusively on sps
