Phosphate reactor

    Ok So here goes... How much for a phosphate reactor and pump? and what to put inside the reactor chamber?

    Edit: To answer your original question though :) a unit for up to 1500l should cost in the region R1400 new.

    I made my own out of a tank siphon (you know the wide end bit for gravel cleaning) I use Phosban, there are other resins out there that one can use, but I have had no issue with phosban (it also does not need as much cleaning before hand)

    Just remember not too much flow, lets the granules move around a bit, but too much will negate the value as it compacts the phosban

    What flow are you using?

    I'm going to use a 500L/H pump

    I have a 1000l/hr, but it is split and has a DIY Phos and Carbon reactor on a U-bend

    Wors. Goto Hillfox. The plastic place there had the container i bought. It looks like this. Dont know if they have any left.
