    Hi guys,

    All still going very well with the tank.

    Latest water parms
    ph = 8
    kh = 5
    Nitrite = 0
    Nitrate = 0
    Ammonia = 0

    How do I raise the ph and the kh? I have been adding 4ml of Pure Reef Supplements kh buffer every day, but nothing seems to happen.

    Also check your MG it helps keep kh in place

    Careful with the slaked lime, don't go put a couple of scoops into your tank, read up on dripping kalkwasser.

    Does Hennie's page not give advise on how to dose the baking soda? I can't recall off hand how much I used to dose, been far too long.

    I can't find anything specific in Hennie's page. Perhaps I'm going blind...

    Busy baking the baking soda now.

    Here you go, you'll just have to convert the US gallons to litres.

    One more thing, raise your kh slowly over a few days, not all at once.

    I finally managed to get the ph up to 8.4.
    kh now on 6.

    Now I need to increase the kh without messing too much with the ph. Will I be able to achieve this with sodiom bicarbonate (unbaked baking soda), as I have been using baked up to now?
