Perspex Cutting

    Hi Guys

    Please advise what the best method is to cut perspex DIY (jigsaw ,hacksaw, dremel tool ,etc) or will it be better to have it cut by the pros???

    Used a jigsaw before, not too difficult and a circle saw for drilling bigger holes

    Agree, just polish it nicely with fine sandpaper!

    Fine bit on the jigsaw? Gather the same goes for leather grain?

    Fine bit, and dont force it or push down on it - could lead to a crack. Slow and patient and it wont be a problem.

    With a jig saw, but slow speed and flat pressure on the perspex, if you go fast the perspex melts back togethewr behind the cut.

    I used a Jigsaw and its shattered the Perspex, but my blades where a bit thick.

    I then used a dremel yesterday and worked like a charm

    Thanks guys

    going to try the jigsaw need to pick up a blade is there specific ones or the thinnest I can find?

    Will use the dremel for sides as I need to cut a 600 x 300 piece
