Yep. The camel shrimp are the ones you need to be wary of.

There seems to be allot of debate about this. I am talking about the proper peppement shrimp not the camel shrimp.

The peppermints are reef safe. The camel shrimp are often sold as peppermints hence the debate. I have several peppermints in both my reef tanks and never had an issue with them eating coral.

We, (@GTH and I) have a peppermint shrimp in our nano. Mixed reef, he sorts out the aiptasia in a foul sweep but leaves everything else alone. Where did you hear about the debate @NJH, did you read it somewhere?

Google peppermint shrimp reefsafe and you get alot of info and debates. Especially on reefcentral and wet web media. There is actually a clip on you tube where a peppermint rips into some zenia. I know the difference between the peppermints and camel backs. It seems peppermints have caused havoc in some tanks.
