    Hey ppl,

My Pennant glider (Valenciennea strigata) pair have laid eggs. Is this common and do I have any chance of raising the fry successfully?

Wow. Your tank must be really healthy if they laid eggs. I dont think the fry will survive :(

Thanks for the honesty hahaha:lol:, I was thinking that is how it will end up...

Right now I think they rule the tank, dropping sand everywhere. The fish might be healthy, but the corals are under a constant snow of aragonite :whistling: I was thinking of getting rid of them soon, but now that they laid eggs, i'll wait till the eggs have spawned/died or whatever. Then i'll see if they are still making a mess. If so, they'll have to VACATE the premises!

Okay, so I can't see the eggs anymore as the sand has been moved. The female (well I think it's the female) is now swimming around the tank and not hiding in the burrow like before. I think this means that they didn't hatch.... Not sure, but I'll keep an eye on them.

Congrats on your Pennats Spawning. Rearing is possible in the future although it will take some time and patience.
