    Hi guys

Saw this critter one night when I decided to run red lights and see what and who lives in my tank at night that I didnt even know was there.

So then this worm came out of the live rock. As soon as the lighs come on it pulls back into the rock. Read some nasty stuff about Kraken worms and stuff so hoping it is a friendly fellow.Updated pics

Not sure, quite difficult to tell, can you see it's head at all? Have a look at this page for some ideas - Worm Hitch Hikers

Not that I could see but what I would think is the head seemed to suck at the live rock and sand. And it isnt segmented so that makes the list a lot shorter. I dont want to take the rock out to try and get it out if I dont have to for the risk of the mushrooms etc on that rock to die

i have three LR drilling worms (that I know of) and ive always thought them to be peanut worms. They are stunning detritus eaters and get big, turning over a large part of the sand bed as they come out their holes.

i managed a few good photos a few years back when I cought one and I was just starting my tank off. have a look here for some pics of a peanut worm out its hole....big fat reef worm - Marine Aquariums South Africa
