    Hi NJH,

If I am not mistaken Seachem recommemds using metroplex for marine tanks. It did work for freshwater fish though.

I used it while acclimating my fish and I had no issues.

You are better off using metroplex and focus with food. What worked for me when I had some issues.

Yes I know but looking for some practical experience from some people who actually used it.

I use it to dip all my newly acquired fish

Does it work? I can't say 100% but my fish are spot free

I have to say that I don't use it to treat whitespot, it's more a preventative measure for other possible diseases

It probably won't kill white spot, it is a mild medication. Will be effective for white spot if used in conjunction with daily transfers to a previously dried out tank/container for 8 days.

I always use paraguard, kanaplex and metronidazole in qt, and do daily transfers for 10 days, works out well so far, fish take it really well.

As a side note, I've had white spot in my tank for the last 2 years without casualties, it still came in despite my best qt efforts (used to do hypo or copper for months on end, lost more fish in qt during that time than I've ever lost in DT in total), but just a spot here and there every now and then though.
