Hi reefers,

PAR meters seem to have become rare locally. With the advancements in tech to light our tanks, seems PAR meter demand has fizzled as a byproduct of sun in a box technology... Or maybe it's just me #justsayin ☀️

I would really like to have a map of my PAR or ideally PUR in my tank, but no success at finding a meter.

I've got some acros in my tank and they are doing well, but I sense they could do better under my lighting if I could just have actual readings for optimal placement of all my SPS and LPS...
I am running 2 x Zetlight UFO ze8600 and 4 x 24w T5HO unit with ATI bulbs (3 x blue+ and 1 x Coral+)

Im sure there has to be someone willing to rent out their meter, hopefully in Durban....

Its is like with everything, more and more difficult to get hold of proper and specialised equipment in SA.

See if anyone close has a Seneye, that is the easiest and cheapest PAR meter locally.

I believe from some guys the seneye can't be borrowed out. Apparantly it messes around with the settings saved of your own tank. Not to sure about the politics
You can buy par meters online... But they don't come cheap

I have a Seneye, but I will have to come out and test it for you cause you gonna need a registered account and the application installed on your PC. Can only do it on a week day during working hours for you though
