As far as I know they pretty harmless. (glass shrimp)
My wrasse gets them for breakfast :)and there are some in my Dsb thats been there for over a year.
But rather wait for the more knowledgeable guys to give you a clear answer
 
These are common fella's in the slightly warmer waters of our coastline. Their full names, are: "Sand shrimps (Scientific name: Palaemon peringueyi)

Ya - I used to collect tons of them in the Strand rock pools to feed to my blue ribbon eel at the time. I kept them in a small tank with an airstone for weeks and fed them pelets until they become supper for the eel.
 
yeah they're awesome - become tame as well! Have 2 that's been in my main tank now for the past 13 months already! they're awesome little fellas! :)
