Ca is not the problem as Ca is always saturated in seawater. What is the alkalinity and Mg levels? What is your PH?

What happened to cause your suspected increase in Ca?

my Ca was low and was battling to get it up from 340ppm... so I made my mixture stronger.
04/02/2014 CA 340ppm manual dose 120ml and set doser to 144/24

09/02/2014 CA 390ppm manual dose 100ml and set doser to 168/24

The the work send me away for 4 weeks and today when I tested it was off the charts

Some SPS reacted in a good way like triple in size and certain SPS started to RTN. Any advise? Water changes is not going to help much...

No I am trying to establish a few things before I recommend anything. But by increasing your pH and lowering your Mg will start precipitation of both alkalinity and Ca. We just need to get a better picture of the situation.

You dosing Calcium chloride when your pH is 7,7?

Bud this is one of those dangerous recommendations dished out to aquariusts by reefers that do not understand the beginnings of chemistry.

Calcium chloride will cause your pH and alkalinity to fall and could also cause an imbalance in sodium and chloride irons.

Who advised you to dose Calcium chloride?

Ok we need to precipitate the Ca out of solution slowly and raise the the pH.

What parameters were you aiming to stabilize at? And why?

I kept my water parameters at:

    dKh 9.2
    ph 8.4
    Ca 450
    mag 1400
    no3 0.2
    po4 0.03

My SPS was growing thru the roof and I could not keep up with CA
