    Hey all

so this thread has been a little overdue but something to go with in the mean time while our new upgrade is busy being manufactured.

before I even knew what sort of fish nemo was the mrs and i decided to take a jump into the marine hobby and so went down to the LFS and said hook us up. needless to say they did and we were chuffed with it and thought we got some awesome help from the LFS only to discover we were a little miss led. Hence the upgrade we currently funding with our pension.

    we currently have

    1) Tank with cabnet (4ft 240tr) dark wood overflow box included
    2) Chiller MODEL : HC-150A Hailea
    4) Jagar 300W Heater
    5) Octopus QTF 1000 Turbine pump and skimmer
    7) Astro 4000 Liquid filter pump
    8) 2x Seio M1100 Super flow pump 4W
    9) Hailea HX6250 power head
    10) Phusban Reactor 150.
    11) Light unit-GIESEMANN 4x T5's 54w

Below is a couple of pics of the tank after it had been running a few months. I then got sent to the fab place called Baghdad for a while and well the mrs did not realize that the skimmer got a snail stuck in it and stopped working so as you can see in the pics things went bad.

anyway as things went from bad to worse we lost most of everything as it turned out that the skimmer did not work 2 months while i was away.

so below is a few pics of the now rebuild after the oops and this is where we are currently at

Welcome to you and your wife Damen,

So sorry to hear about your loss. Always heartbreaking when a tank crashes. Congratulations with new tank though. You know you are obliged to post pics of the new tank as soon as you have it ;)

Wow Damen, two months is a long time to notice the skimmer is not working.
Sorry to hear about the crash, I'm guessing the large leather did not make it, what a beautiful specimen.

Good to see things are back on track and the tank is coming along nicely.

    Tok

Its a learning curve. keep at it. Your skill level and the system will just improve over time.
