I have 2 oscellaris clowns that I purchased from a LFS. I didnt check the fish as they were being caught and packed as we where getting advice from someone else. I got home just to put the bag in the tank and left again. Upon inspection of them later that evening, I noticed one has nipped fins. Its the fins under the clown that seems to have been damaged aswell as a little of the side fins. My wife carried the bag and 100% sure we didnt damage them - its just one that looks that way...

The very same one is busy doing its convulsion type dance but takes in flakes and spits it out... :(

How do I figure out whats wrong?

    Will the fins grow back?

Its our first purchase of livestock and we dont know what to do or think...have msg the LFS which is a sponser...awaiting feedback...

Fins will grow back, just make sure it's eating properly.
Not sure about the convulsion type swimming, clownfish do sometimes had odd swimming patterns.
In future always check the fish once it's been bagged.

    thx 459b..

From what I've briefly read, its the mating 'dance' of the clowns...so thats ok...

I think that one is a fussy eater...but is very active nonetheless...I am feeding flakes with brine shrimp...

I've learnt a lesson...trust me...just hope it all comes out fine...
