    Morning Gents

Cant seem to find the thread and google is not my friend:tt2:

I read somewhere that once you have reached your desired parameters
with the cubes and it keeps dropping that you should take some out and store
it in R.O water in a container?

Well I did that and after about three months I opened the containers and the most
    God awfull smell hit me.

    Now comes the questions.....

    1. Is the smell normal?
2.Can I still use the cubes?
3.If so is there any pre treatment I need to consider before placing
it back in to the aquarium?

I cant imagine it bieng a good idea to putt something back that smells this bad.

    Thanks

Thought that you must store them dry. That's what I have done.

The smell is sulphur. Rinse the cubes well in RO water and see what they smell like after 24 hours. The smell should dissipate there after should be good to go. @dallasg?

Don't know where you have read that??? Remember the cubes is not only for reef keeping its for fresh water tank use also, if you store in water the cubes will still go on with there working "proses". The cubes must be rinsed with water and left to dry before storing it....

    Hi,

do you have a pic of them?

let them dry, then rinse in RO for a few hours, and then use them.
