I think most of that is covered in this Thread...

But I do agree...would love to see how the cubes are now in their Tank...I've seen some really bad black looking ones...:p and wonder if they are all changing to weird colours...blue cheese also comes to mind...:p

Here is how I run mine, second last compartment in sump, within a modified feta cheese strainer and then mesh bag over it with a air stone at the bottom.
    Excuse the bad pic.

Works perfectly, my NO3 was always hovering around 4ppm, got it down to undetectable on my red sea max and salifert kits. PO4 has lowered to 0.02 on red sea max and undetectable on my salifert test kits.

Anyone have any pics of how they are using the cubes in a TL550? Have simply added mine on top of the sponge in the first compartment and I am not seeing any results. Definitely need to rethink my strategy....:whistling:

Basically good flow through them, and good aeration and they will work fine, obviously everybody had different set ups and can/cant accomodate reactors or this or that, but yes I think it's all covered in the thread link that @belindamotion posted

    Hi all,
I understand that it has been covered in a previous article I am actually looking for all users to post pictures and ideas of what is working for them, one can use all or single working ideas in our tanks etc etc.

Can you post a picture or a drawing of how the sponge fits into everything. I am just a little worried that the biomass might just cut off some of the air / water supply on the cubes. I had a similar incident in the UK where a guy used a cannister filter, we had to modify things a little to get everything going nicely as the biomass was starting to choke the cubes and limiting flow and oxygen

I will be un-veiling something new that will be solving this issue for everyone at the MASA meeting this weekend. Easy, neat, tidy, compact and can be used anywhere without any complications
