    Hi All

Have a question about bio cubes and placement in sump. I'm in the process of cycling my tank and have added bio cubes to the third chamber of the sump along with the return pump and heater. I have used the bomb method. Is this placement ideal?

    Thanks
    Paul

if there is a steady flow of well oxygenated water in that area then yes..

the cubes should not become clogged with dirt in any way and providing an airstone to the centre of the bag the cubes are housed in (assuming you using the provided bag) will help with oxygenation within the middle of the cubes.

Yes, it will do just fine.
They "should" work better if you put them in your skimmer compartment as the skimmer causes higher dissolved oxygen & better flow...
But, ive kept mine in almost any compartment of my sumps, & couldn't notice them working any "less" effective in the different compartments.

So to sum it up. If you use the bomb method... There wont be any reason why the cubes wont work, no matter where you place them...

I have had them in a few skimmers and removed them. IMO the better option is what you are doing.
