Have any of you guys used these bulbs. I want to get some 10000K 250W halide lights and balance them with blue actinics. Are the Sylvanias any good?

Tony - I wish I can say "yes" I have used the Sylvania metal halide globes - but unfortunately I have not.
I use their T5's - and the T5's lasts me about a year......... Before I HAVE to replace them (I only use them for actinics).....

I think that you should get at least 18 months out of the Sylvania metal halides.....
Where you buying from? "The Lamphouse"? (if not - try them - after you got prices from the sponsors).....

Yes Tony. They are most likely not AS BRIGHT as Geissemans, ATI's or AM's - but they are REALLY good value for money.

sylvinia has bee around for quite some time but kepy in the shade by more known name brands, as far as PAR i cant comment but i do know their T5 tubes are excellent.. the actual colour of the bulb will also need to be established.. risky if you havent seen one running but i doubt you will go wrong where growth is concerned.. good luck
