    Hi Guys,

I have two of clownfish in a 32L nano and the female (larger of the two) just stopped eating 3 days ago. She still seems healthy I cannot see any signs of infections at all - no flukes, no sunken bowel or signs of white spot. Both of them used to eat like pigs and now only the smaller male seems to feed. I feed them pellets (omega one) and every two or three days frozen brine shrimp. Any ideas as to why she would have stopped eating?

She hangs around the back of the tank shying away a bit but still moves normally (if that makes sense). My 4 year son did dump a whole lot of the pellets into the tank about two weeks ago since he wanted to "feed the fishies" (I hid the food but obviously not well enough) but I almost immediately cleaned it up and the nutrient spike seems to have been minimal. Could a sudden spike have an impact on their appetite?

    Thanks.

its a possibility, when you say minimal how high was ammonia?
what are the readings now for nh4, no2?
    water temp, salinity?

When I tested on Saturday there was zero NH4, zero NO2 but between 5 & 10 ppm NO3. Ater water changes it is now closer to 2 ppm. Salinity has been constant at 1.025 but the temp had to be dropped last week by about 4 degrees due to a faulty glass thermometer. I did this slowly over the course about two days.

Thanks for the advice. Who sells the vitachem? Any specific frozen food or can I carry on with the frozen brine?
