In fact that is like saying how far can you jump when you're on the moon?.......Unless you can afford a ticket to get there, there is no way of knowing.....The cost to get to and maintain such systems, would just not be an option for me....:(

But... we can always dream , can't we ? ;)

Seriously though : I've seen very small systems ( Nano and Pico reeftanks) which will put a couple of large setups to shame. The cost of maintaining and growing such a system is moderately small, but the drawbacks in terms of cycling times ( pre cycle as well as time between adding livestock/corals) and stability are unfortunately quite high.

Still... amazing to see what can be done

nothing wrong with having a nano, and a 2m DSB hidden away :)

kinda like my nano setup, just a bit bigger, i am thinking its a nice option

Manche moegen eben sehr stark gefaerbte Korallen.

40 Maedels in einem Raum ? Dass waere doch ein wunderschoener Traum , oder ? :drool5:

ummm whats being said? would love to know

Sorry Dallas,

Very rude of me indeed.

Sean and myself were just debating that although the setup looks extremely colourful , it does not neccessarily resemble a natural reef in his opinion. One should not forget that a natural reef has both colourful as well as gray/brown undertones. Balance should exist in order to resemble a natural reef. The aspect of how many brightly coloured corals should be present in a reef aquaria is purely a matter of taste.

I agree with Sean in this regard , but it is still quite amazing to see what can be achieved in this hobby within a timeframe of 2-3 years.

BTW: This guy has written some very interesting articles , especially on the aspect of coral colouration (why do corals have certain colours ? ). Unfortunately all in German , but if you're interested I can translate . Alternatively do a check on RC . This guy has written a few articles for them recently.
