Do you guys think that this little boy is an off shoot of my two larger shrooms on the left, he is sitting on the edge of the rock on the right?

I was thinking that too, maybe he's a hitchhiker, hopefully not one that's going to pull out a gun and hold the other passengers to ransom!:p
I got the shroom from dorry pets about four weeks back! Oh well, will have to wait and see!

I would not stress about it. It does not look like a bad hitchhiker.

It could well be. When my shrooms proliferate, the new ones normally hides under the 'adult' (where it is only visible at night when adult retracts for the night), until it is too big to hide anymore. It will then slowly move out from the adult until it finds a happy spot...

My plain mushrooms and ric's follow this procedure. Have 'spawned' about 9 babies thus far:)

Yip I think its a baby from the other mushrooms...could have been there all along just too small to notice...remember mushrooms can tend to "walk" as a means of reproduction and as they move along the rockwork they leave behind little pieces that grow into new mushrooms.

Carlos, those looks like the green hairy mushrooms, same as what I have... And yes, it is quite fascinating to see them grow...

My clown is now trying to host in mine:) she is not very successful, but she keeps on trying;), the biggest one have now split in two, giving her more "room".
