I'm tired of waiting so I am slowly but surely starting planning on a 4ft setup.

I have been DIY'ing all my life and just for once would like buy off the shelf stuff. Any recommendations on a nice lighting unit that preferbably have 2 x MH and 2 x T5 or similar. Built in Moonlight would be awesome. I know of the locally made one but they are hectically expensive.

Another off the topic question. My wife really wants to keep "one of those pretty yellow fish", referring to a yellow tang (and so do I in fact :)). Would a 4ft be ok if it's a bit wider than the standard 4ft's?

Around R3k for the 1250 mm Unit.

What is nice is it is totally plug and play.

I have the 600mm unit at present, without the moons.

No t5's and moonlights have same switch. But very easy to convert. I run mine off 3 timers now.

    PC, Net delays...

    Unforeseen ssshhhh- IT issues
    eish!

    1.800mm MH/T5/LED
They run about 5.5k including freight .

    That's 3*150W MH, 2 54W T5, 4 Lunar LED
    2 Independent power cables
    3 independent switches.

    I saw your pm muz.

But WE would skrik , if you saw how my editor garbled most of it into unintelligibility...
Had to post here instead, while my pm sorts it's hiccups out.

SO, WOULD you buy from AQuality again?
.... unlike your sentiments posted elsewhere ;)

    ALL T5 combo maybe?

If you go ALL T5, you can add moonlights, not actually DIY then, hey?

There are some decent 4*39W units around 1m long.
MORE than capable of handling 1.2m.
You MAY have to mount themat a distance suitable for light spread and intensity required.

I'm available for info on other items, if you don't have much luck with selection/suitability/budget compatibiltiy .

BTW the 1250mm unit with MH/ LED/T5 require T5 upgrades INITIALLY
    MH upgrades few months LATER

ASK Rory about "one of those pretty yellow fish" in a 4foot.
    He knows ALL about those...
