Hey everyone.I got this t5 4 tube unit for free with no name on it,only problem is that its not your common t5 length. The length of the unit is 580mm and 535mm(21 inches) from end cap to end cap including pin slots. So does anyone perhaps know where i could buy 21" tubes in South Africa or in Port Elizabeth if possible? I would like to use it over my sump.

what watt rating is the ballast? starting there would be your best bet, or a pic of the ballast and one of the info stamps on globe/t5 tube

There is nothing written on the ballast and i got it without any globes in it.So its probably a fong kong cheapo.Thats why i want to find some in Port Elizabeth to fit them and see before i buy them. There are 24w 21" for sale on ebay, wavepoint brand.

You can try the lfs in the bridge and ask them for the messurements of the "Boyu "T- 5 units or could be the "Akwa" , but they should get from both.

That unit comes with 13w T5 tubes I think.I have the same one but modified it to fit 24w. The ballasts are the problem though, linear with no specs.
