Welcome to MASA.
Even though most members are afrikaans-speaking, we stick to English, saving us the costs of a translator for our english members...
Do share some details on what you have, or what you are planning to do?
Hey Bekkie welcome to MASA!
sorry for the afrikaans but my english aint that good. My tank is running now for 4 months. I have live rocks in with 2 fishes a Clarkie and a Tomato. Then i have a fire shrimp, a snail , a crab and a cucumber in but the tank still looks empty.
Post some pics of your setup, we love pics here.
aslong as you guys don't laugh
See, your ' iengliesj' is not too bad, quite understandable to all out there, so don't fret. Now we can donate the saved money on a spell checker for MASA
@belindamotion & @Tobes will welcome you soon enough and pester you for pics, so get your camera out and start snapping and uploading.
No matter how hard you try you won't hear us. You really don't have to worry about anything, we all love keeping marines we will rather help you if we see something wrong then laugh at the mistake. There is no one way to keep marines everyone has their own vision of a reef and how to keep it.
okay here is one pic i dont have a background en it looks empty
..yeah...we love pic's... to MASA...You said you have a Cucumber.....you are aware that if they die, they will wipe out you'r ENTIRE Tank...
Just watch out if you have uncovered powerheads...I've read that they can get sucked in...

I don't think a Clarkii and a Tomato can go together...Tomato is known for being aggro...especially if added first...might give problems when older...? Sorry I myself am not to clued up on Fish Compatibility, so I do stand corrected...I tend to still get mixed up with two if the same Species, in certain Fishes and two of different Species...
How about some more Pic's...
haha about the fish i really dont know anything my brother-in-law started one about a year ago so he told me to start one so everything i want to know he tells me the 2 fishes is in the tank for about almost 2 months now and they get along and about that cucumber i really didnt know that his in my sump because he blocks the water going out the tank into the sump.
Hey bekkie, I would watch out with those two clowns in the same tank. When they get older they will become more aggresive towards eachother and could kill eachother rather sell the one while you still have the chance. How about some pics of the sump?
thanks for the advise which one do you think i should let go and what kind of fish can i put in then iam going to need all the help i can get but i dont want fish that is going to eat my plants when i decide to put in and the corals. i will put the pics for the sump in tommorow my boy is awake so i have to leave.
I would take out the Tomato clown as they tend to be terrors. You can still add another african clown while they are still juvenile but just one. You wouldn't want more then 2 clowns in that tank. I would recommend that you try to get mor elive rock in the display tank for caves and filtration. This will help to give a more natural look and the fish feel more comfortable with hiding places. With pics of the sump tomorrow maybe we can help you even more. What is your tank dimensions, skimmer, lighting and other filtration methods?
what you have in the tank is button polyps and zoa's. Not plants.
Rather get rid of the tomato clown. they are aggro.
Hi there, welcome to MASA. Do yourself the favour and read the article in my signature on starting a marine tank - great info even if you started it already. You'll learn a lot about filtration, lights, the cycle, etc - enjoy
Where in Mpumalanga are you situated?
