So my friend gave me about 7kgs of real reef rock, now I nuke all my rock I get so that when I start my tank, I don't get any nasty things.

Secondly if I did nuke it, will the bleach take out the colour? I like the colour so really don't want to lose it.

The rock was dry though, I think its been dry for two days and from what I can see, it doesn't seem to have anything on it.

Real reef rock is top notch. @flappy
I wouldn't see a reason to nuke it.

Even if it's been in someone else's tank?

If it's dry then all the nasty hitchhikers should be dead so you won't need to bleach it

Yes...agreed..if its dry it's cool..soak it in freshwater rather than bleach..color won't fade....you will just have to regenerate the coralline algae spores when you start up again...
