    Hi all,

I was wondering about nudibranchs. They look really awesome and I like the unusual. I was wondering, however, if it is wise to keep one or two? Are they considered pests like most freshwater snails are? Will other fish eat them? Do they damage corals? I can't really find any definitive info on keeping them in an aquarium.

    Advice would be appreciated.

The reason there isn't much info on them in the aquarium is they are not really suitable for an aquarium. You do see them in petshops sometimes, but I think they mostly come in as hitch hikers.

Most of them require a very specific diet like a certain type of coral, which as you can imagine would be really hard to provide. I have also heard a lot of them can also release a toxin when they are stressed, that can wipe out your whole tank.

That makes alot of sense I suppose. I can imagine that it is similar to when a freshwater snail dies in your and you don't get it out in time. Nudis look so cool though. Perhaps I'll give them a try much later when I get better acquainted with marine systems.

Not a good idea. Nearly impossible to feed as very specific feeders.
