Now what is this algae?

Hi All..got no idea what's happened to my tank now.. I got this long string looking stuff all over my tank.

Please help Id this and remedy

Are the strings extending from a single point? looks like vermetid snail strings.....

Hi Archie, no they are just all over. On corals on the egg crate can't pinpoint at all. I have tried to suck most of it out. Waiting to see if it continues.

take a pic of the souce of the string. it looks like you have vermetids making a mess.

They can be a pain in the neck.

Haha nice one. Yeah I got tons of it as frags. I think it's some slime that is being released by a coral of sorts.. Anyway will keep monitoring.
