    Howsit,

I've had a marine many years ago but due to the lack of knowledge (and forums) it failed after 3 months.

Ive got a 180l planted aquarium which is working quite well.

I have recently bought a 3 foot aquarium which I am using for marine. Its still a work in progress but hopefully with the info on this forum and others I will have success this time round.

    Thanks,

Gonna keep it simple for now. A couple easy corals like Kenya tree and zoas. Fish will be a clown fish and maybe a goby. CUC will be a blue hermit crab and a peppermint shrimp

bit of an update. Got all these corals through MASA. Waaaaaayyyyyy cheaper than the lfs.
Got a peppermint shrimp in there that is doing a good job sorting out the aptasia.
Also got some hermits I picked up while on holiday.

Looking good! What kind of filtration do you have on this setup? What are you hiding behind that black blotch:tt2:

Put a filter sock over the power head as it was putting out way too much flow. Needles to say it was quite an eye sore. That has been changed now. Using a small sump with some live rock. Going to be moving everything to the once freshwater tank when Ive done drilling it and adding a sump

Added a DIY refugium. Bought a small plastic tank for R50 and added a LED spotlight. Tank is coming along nicely. All corals have been bought through the forum. The pulsing aptasia... sorry, xenia are spreading like mad. Mushroom has grown pretty darn big.
