    Interesting topic MistaOrange
I feel the Scandinavians are a little unfairly to judged, on this subject, they have grown up eating whale and or dolphin meat, using the entire animal, as we have grown up eating beef, chicken and pork that has been farmed in terrible manners regularly and the fish we eat is caught in the most in efficient sea and coral reef destroying methods available to man bar dynamite fishing...

Most of our meat and slaughter houses are shocking in their methods of increasing production.

Even Halal and kosher which are meant to be humane are harsh...

When you slit an animal's throat and cut the arteries and spinal cord, pain is still transmitted to the brain. The brain has enough residual oxygen to stay alive for several seconds (7 seconds in a human being, not sure about other animals). Throughout this period, it experiences excruciating pain.

Western methods of fireing a bolt of electricity through the brain also fail sometimes.

    food for thought ;)
