I inverted the covers and they fitted nicely. I then used a soldering iron to melt the holes in the one cover. I also used super glue to glue a old tunze algae magnet on the one cover. I then cut three slits in both covers, two at the bottom and one on the top just long enough for cable ties to fit through. At the bottom two I used conventional cable ties and the to I used one of those reusable ties. At first I cut my holes too big and the algae sheet only lasted a couple of seconds but then I re-cut a new design (the one in the pic) and that worked perfect. I think I got a video clip of them feeding on the DIY feeder. Will post it if I have it.
 
Awsome. Not much of a diy person, so a dummy guide will help. Hehe
