Soooo......I decided to upgrade from my nano tank and upgraded by buying a forum member's tank he was getting rid of.

This is my first venture into such a large marine tank and have set it up with all the necessary equipment. It is currently 2 weeks into cycling and looking good... Going for a reef setup but still need to do some research into inmates. Any suggestions? Moving my clowns and a hermit first from my nano.

    Specs:
    1300x600x700
    120L sump
    DYI LED setup
    Bubble Magus Curve 5

looks great, maybe put optics on those led's or a cover so they don't shine in your eyes as much, but fantastic start either way.

I know that feeling, was just giving my coral angry eyes because they are not growing fast
Have you decided on what you are going to stock?

Well @Fuzzy was nice enough to sort me out with a few frags. Got quite a variety for a fair trade.

Since I didn't want to wait, the very helpful and friendly people at Improved Living PE was kind enough to help out with their 3w LED chips. Took a bit of planning but there are 40 of them in total with 60/40% blue to white ratio. The base plate is a piece of aluminium cut and bent to shape. I'd say that if you bought all the parts you're looking at about R1600.00.
