So this morning while on whatsapp my Nokia N97 screen dies in the middle of 2 group chats, Grrrr. So I'm trying to pin point what the issue could be... I switched the phone off & on this morning after the screen went blank then the screen came on for a few seconds then went blank again. What do you guys think it could be? Ribbon or LCD?

A google pic of the phone...

Did you notice any dead "spots" on the screen prior to this? What used to work for me was to remove the battery for a while (a looooonnnnnggg while) ...put the battery in a recycle packet and toss the phone out the first robot(while driving) that turns green. Alternatively just drop it into your pool.!!!!!!
