Figured I would give this competition a bash

A lot of guys maybe starting out or even those that have been in the hobby a while could use this.

    Herewith is my entry...

My only worry about setting up a walk around tank was wires. Nobody wants to see them anyway and having 3 young kiddies (all girls:)) being curious as ...:m87::m86:... I had to consult my inner brain (wherever that is:lol:)

Then I came up with this little idea. Have not seen it before but maybe someone out there has.

First step was to drill through the bracing for the pumps wires to go through...but for that you also need putty to make a water well...which I neglected to buy but having 3 kids in the house makes the brain more active so I had the answer in seconds...PLAY DOUGH:m12:

Next up was the 20mm half round trunking, could not find black in PE so bought white and sprayed it:thumbup:

There after siliconed the trunking to the edges and the tank having made with black silicone one can hardly tell its there. There is enough space in it to run a 3 core 1.5mm
    cable inside.

    And that's it;)

Pics as per requirements will be on next post...:m106:

It does look very nice, but personally I wouldn't have drilled through the bracing just for neatness and doing so weakening the structure of ones tank.

And Also..... Its drilled on the corners were the stress is at its weakest. If it was the middle braces its a different storry!!

If you like to be challenged, use that trunking for the wires in the inside of the tank.:m12:

No visible wires outside the tank the aim. I wanted to put a plastic floating diver with a led torch in hand as a moonlight but people would say its for fresh water tanks. So just like Vortechs, its not for me:lol:

You could silicone the wires to the glass if you are really OCD about seeing wires in the tank
