Hi, a question - can a nitrate reactor replace a protein skimmer in a 90 liter nano tank?

Neither are needed if you do regular water changes of about 20 percent weekly

    Nope, doing different jobs.

Skimmer remove DOC - disolve organic compound.
Nitrate reactor, tries to break it down.

    Best, - get a skimmer.
Else a lot of water changes. But on a 90L system. Doing 20% each week, is not an issue.

Thanks for the feedback. May be best to stick to a good skimmer.
