    Hi guys,
I currently have Nitra-Guard Biocubes (1l) in my 300l tank.
    (I think it's the 1l - was +- 970 bucks for it)

    Tank Parameters:
    No3 - 50ppm
    P04 - 1ppm

Cubes running for +-3 weeks using the bomb method.
And parameters are still very high as you can see...

I've had a Algae scrubber on my previous tank with success..
So was wandering, what will be the result in running both? Scrubber and Cubes?
    Or just get more cubes?

But what about the phosphates? The scrubber can deal with that - not so?
But as soon as the cubes start to work efficiently, the scrubber will actually be void as all N03 will be absorbed?

Can we maybe get a list of pros and cons running each method on its own and combined?

    thx

Bio Cubes, but you would need to use titanium, you dont have enouth po4 for normal cubes...

    Hi @Raven

Haven't seen you on the forum for a long time now. Where is the pics of your new tank? I would leave out the scrubber, it works great for controlling NO3 and PO4 but it's a mission cleaning it every week as you whould now from your previous tank. If you want to enjoy your tank more with less maintenance then bio-cubes is the way to go. I'll go with @Express Reef recommendation and add 1l off titanium cubes with the normal bio-cubes, and see your tank flourish.

Cool - titanium it will be then...

Question - does the titanium consumes P04 as well?
Or do I need to get something else for that?

    Hi,
Yip been inactive for some time. I've converted to freshwater for about a year or so.
Only to switch back to marines again... :)

I'll start a new tank thread with photo's as soon as I'm a bit more happy with the tank...
At this stage it's not even a close patch to what I had. (coral wise)
    Slowly building up again.

Trying to do things better this time.
