ninteen degrees c , aaah!

    my three tier tank in garage for frags and mandarins temp dropped overnight due to the heater not connecting properly in new extension cord,adapter. i have replugged heater in and now i must wait for temp to come up and see what the consequences are.

    if you need to transfer anything while temp increases, i have space available.

    19 should be fine.
    What is the temp variations in Rockpools that gets isolated. And things in there are ok.

    My tank went down to 19 in June, I didn't lose anything.

    Yeah I think you'll be okay with 19. I would try and make the increase gradual tho.... I suspect by now its back up seeing as you posted this 2hours ago

    As with most parameters I'm thinking as long as this was gradual it should'nt be too harmful on the odd occasion ... just as long it happened slowly it can be remedied .... Its not gone to extreme limits ... lucky for you it was noticed early

    I had two heaters dying on me in one week. Or first one was dead longer, maybe, but when second one died, my temp dropped to 16. All OK, even the small little bristle star fishes made it. Bought a Jaeger 300W. Want another one.

    Rather increase the temp back up over a day or 2....
