    Hi my name is David

    i'm doing "research"on marine tank. It's 2 m long .600 wide and high. 10mm glass and base
20mm. over flow 50mm tank fitting on the base. Sump 1.7 m .6 wide hight i will get to it. sump will have 6 compartments 2 will be for bio filter rest will be protein skimmer heaters and external pump not sure on size .35kw or .45kw 200Lpm or 250Lpm. 50mm pipe t piece from motor back to heaters and 2nd pipe reduced to 32mm back to tank might split it into 2 or 3. ball valve on 50 mm to regulate flow to tank. Lights 2 metal h 150 W 4 T5 and a blue light. i would like to keep coral and fish.
when to comes to water its all about filtration and water chemistry.
as for the inhabitants they seem to be specialise so before buying one i need to know there needs.
Thats me. Yes this is my first.:wave2:

Welcome to MASA David - hope you enjoy it here with us. Read and learn as much as you can and ask us first before spending a lot of cash on something that might have been uneccessary.
Please read the link in my signature - great info for a newbie ;)
Also look at other member's sump setups - it is not neccessary to have 6 compartments in the sump 3 - 4 in enough.

1 - overflow from tank and protein skimmer
2 - deep sand bed (DSB)
    3 - return pump

You can add another for carbon, but please NO BIO-BALLS or CERAMIC RINGS/NOODLES - it only cause water quality problems later on. Also remember that the water must flow OVER the DSB and not through it.

Ask away if you need more help :wave2:
