    Hi

I'm new here, I hail from the windy city.

I've been lurking for the past year or so, but after seeing a friends lovely 1000l setup over the weekend I have decided to register.

Hopefully with your help I'll piece together something that would someday resemble a marine tank

For now I'm just happy to read up on articles and browse through the awesome pics on the here forum

    Cheers
    SP

firstly, thanks all for the welcome

thank you, yes, I've been reading up a lot, even helping a friend start a marine tank, but I've never had the guts to take the plunge myself.

I told my wife its time we start our own one. :):)

wow, thanks a lot for the warm welcome guys!

I have my eye on a tank at the moment, I just need to check if it will be big enough in the long run.

bigger is better but cost a lot more to setup , make sure the tank is drilled either with a inturnal overflow or exturnal overflow it make pumbing so much easyer when u are running a sump but there are small nano tanks witha allin one

Its only a 1 meter, but its nice and deep.

    1000Lx600Hx450D

On my budget(which is *******) it seems big enough :blush:

I'm just going to need a little more light to get to the bottom of the tank.

I was thinking a normal 3ft tank would be fine for the sump, would just have to modify it a little to add partitions.
