Hi Fellow Members, and thank you to Admin for accepting me to the Forum.

I bought a TL450 Nano Tank about 3 years ago. About 2 months after I bought it, my wife and I decided to buy a property. Moving into our new place was already tough on us financially as it was the next big step in our lifes. About a month after we moved in, we found out that my wife was Pregnant.

Anyway, my daughter is now 2 years old, I still have my tank, and over the past 18months I've learnt a lot from 3 different Marine Whatsapp Groups.

I'm about to start my tank in the next few weeks as I'm getting everything ready(slowly but surely).
I look forward to the advice and info that I will learn from this Forum.

    Happy Reefing...

Hi Guys, plans has changed as I bought a RSM 130D running setup for a bargain.
I got the tank last week, but no Live Stock. No LR.
So, I've been running the tank keeping the water circulated. Diatoms started getting very dark since 2 days ago and then earlier today I spotted these little white shrimp like bugs(looks like copepods).

    Is this good or bad?
Unfortunately I'm not in a position to buy LR for the next 2 months?

How long can I circulate this water without LR?

    Thanks

How small are they and what are their movements like , also look at your glass or acrylic and see if they are not swimming or rather darting around on it aswel ,especially once your lights goes off ... peak in with a torch . Dont think you need to stress though , it's most probably harmless and will die down once the diatomes die down and your cycling is complete, they are most likely feeding off of the diatoms . But get a pic non the less and plenty of people will be able to help you out .
