Hi all so tank has been cycling for a week now, day 2 readings:
Salinity : 1.025
PH:8.4
KH:9
No2: 0.02mg/l
No3: 5mg/l
Ammonia: 0.01mg/l

6 days later:
Salinity: 1.024
Ph: 8.4
Kh: 6
No2: 0.02mg/l
No3: 2mg/l
Ammonia: <0.01mg/l

Tiny changes, is this normal after a week?

Only reefers would be happy to run around screaming loudly that they got worms....

Not bristle worms. But they are worms that you want in your sand.

Do I really need these additives like special blend and or stability.

I was browsing a different Lfs today and the guy was adamant that I needed it?..

Tank cycling for two weeks now, have a decent amount of live rock have seen Copepods and have worms..

Would rather do it naturally if possible?

No you do not need it. It does help to speed up the cycle though.

Snail and worms seem to be gone/inactive. I noticed a small fan worm yesterday.

End of three weeks now and no changes in NO2 or NO3. Ammonia was slightly up a week ago only slight though and is back to >0,01 now.

I have noticed white flecks (snow like) drifting around and in places sticking to the glass. Also cobweb like strands on some of the rock.

Other than that I'm trying to fine tune the skimmer.. Pretty sure that this will change every time life is added though ..
And enjoying the peaceful swishing of my little piece of ocean
