    Hi guys

After spending the whole weekend hunting for a better priced Boyu TL 550, I'm back to the TL550.

I struggled to find a tank with "curved corners", got a young daughter and sharp corners won't work.
Been to Jungle Aquatics, Exotics, Wild Pets without any luck.

Any know any shops in JHB I can buy a Boyu TL 550 ?

How much do you recon a brand new tank will sell for?

Guess it all depends on what size tank you looking for, was at exotic aquariums and pets (sponsor) yesterday and they have quite a variety of tanks there. Some stunning ones! worth the drive.

Oh and welcome to MASA:thumbup: read the links @belindamotion posted, very usefull, they helped me alot when i started just a few months ago :)

Welcome.. Try idol marine and TSR. Check in the sponsors section and you will find them.

    Hello and welcome
That is a bit much for 120L... Unless its a complete plug and play.

Remember to factor in the cost of a chiller or some sort of fan setup. The plug and play tanks generally need it unfortunately. Or so i have heard.

I bought my TL 550 about two weeks ago. Thought its time to get back into the hobby. Had some spare cash, budget of about R 6 000 and approval of the wife. This is what I ended up paying for all brand new equipment :

    Boyu TL 550 - R 2 400
    Boyu Stand - R 650
    Powerhead for DT - R 150
    10KG Fiji Live Rock - R 1 900
    Test Kits and Live Sand - R 1 400
    Boyu L200 Chiller - R 3 350
    Pump for Chiller - R 250
    6 x 25L Containers - R 360
Ready Mixed Salt Water - R 355 for 125 Litres
    Electrical Stuff - R 400
    More Test Kits and Supplements - R 1 000

    Total Spend so Far : R 12 215

Wife is pretty impressed with all I got for R 6 000 .....
