    Hello all, im not new to masa, i can just never remember my gf.s crazy password, so i made my own. Anycase, iv got a question, my Zoaas dosnt want to open, my brain and torch and sinularia and evrything else grows quit eagerly, so what im i missing wiv the zooas. pls help. thank you :stuart:

    What kind of lighting do you have and where is it positioned in the tank. I've got MH lighting and had mine up higher in the tank. The opened some but stayed closed most of the time. When I moved them down on the substrate they open great now.

    Iv got 4 x 54w t5 + 3 x 39w t5, and they r just above half way up the tank, thers also kelp growing in between them, maybe its bothering them

    I'd try moving them down on the substrate and see how they respond. When you say "kelp" I assume you mean algae? Yes, remove anything growing between them.

    thanks il move them, i think its kelp, its red, well crimson, dark red wine, and leavie ...thanx buddie

    its just a macro algae, I have a lot of it lol.. Zoa's are pretty easy. Could also be something bothering them. With my orange zoas they didnt want to open fully then I saw a bristle worm bothering them, so I sumped the worm and the zoas are fine now
