Hi, I am quite new to the hobby but looking forward to it. I have had tropical fresh water aquariums in the past but I have been very interested in marine for a while now. Just purchased 670 x 700 nano and can't wait to get it up and running.. :yeahdude:

Its not one of those compact ones with the filter etc at the back of the aquarium. The aquarium is +- 180L with a sump, reeftek TS1 protein skimmer... The sump has a chamber for auto top up which is quite nice.. [IMG] sorry for the bad quality picture..

Nice sump, gives you a bit more space for tech compared to the compact nano's.

    Welcome

My suggestion is buy an RO water system. In the long run it pays itself off ;)

I will probably buy one at some stage..

I have a question about the substrate, can I use sand from Sodwana or some beach as substrate? The guy from the place where i bought the aquarium said that it might contain a lot of iron and that I should be careful. :|
